Hola, my name is Maria, born and raised in East Los Angeles by immigrant parents. I am the youngest of ten in a large Mexican family of which I enjoy being a part of.  I am a proud Mexicana, who enjoys a cup of cafecito every morning and spending as much time as possible with my family. I also enjoy crafting and whenever possible, traveling throughout Mexico and learning about my heritage.

I graduated from Cal State Northridge in 2013, with a Master’s degree in Social Work. I have a special interest for working with the LatinX/e community, particularly older adults and women.

While seeking therapy can be scary, the healing process can be very rewarding. I believe therapy is a

unique way that can help you write the next chapter of your life. i view

therapy  as a unique chance to find lessons in the difficulties we’ve faced with hidden strengths to be discovered and acknowledged. I look forward to the opportunity to walk alongside you in a non-judgmental and safe healing space as you walk in your journey to emotional healing. Together we will work on creating your best self which takes courage, confidence, and commitment. Let me help you heal in a space where all three of those elements can coexist. We will identify your inner strengths and build your new “Normal.”

We will work on building skills

in the areas of reducing stress, regulating emotions, solving problems, and building healthy interpersonal relationships.

If you’re ready, so am I.
